Photographer Scott Hilton, Senior Lecturer at the University of Texas at Arlington, looks at the art of photography in the glow of candle light. He has a penchant for wet collodion photography, which is a hand made photographic process. Here, Hilton must make the film before taking a picture, and develop the film himself. Inspired by 19th century photographers, Hilton made himself a portable dark room cart. It sounds like a laborious task, but the positive, excited tone in Hilton’s voice proves that he loves making photographs with his own hands. Listen in as he walks through the collodion way, and shares his ultimate and lofty photography goal.
