A skateboarder for 50 years and a successful realtor, Al Coker is a busy (and very cool) guy. The man behind Guapo Skills Center has provided a sanctuary for Dallas skateboarders complete with grind bars and ramps just minutes from Downtown Dallas.

It's a bit like a country club, but with less button downs. In order to skate at Guapo's, one has to become a member of their community. Al's mission is to reach other passionate souls who share his love for skateboarding.

Guapo's has been going strong for over 4 years. As a matter of fact, the Skateboard Center has supported a program for the past three years called The Art of Skating, raising over $150,000 in that amount of time towards helping the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital

Community efforts like Coker's Skate Park not only provide a space to help build the skateboarding community, but to get involved with an activity not commonly associated with philanthropy.

Visit Guapo's website to keep up with amazing Dallas boarders, become a member, or learn about upcoming philanthropy events.
