I love everything about Dallas and the neighborhood I live in. The Jefferson Blvd video is phenomenal and the local community pieces are really inspiring.
No one really wants a local version of 'The Bachelor'. You're shooting at the wrong target I think. You're looking to create real local buzz, but the people who care about local buzz aren't really a part of your target marketing in some of your showcase pieces.There's incredible potential here, you just need to adjust your cross hairs, and work on opening it up a llitle to the real communities. Your approach right now just smells a little too overt in terms of its marketing and glitz. Tone it down, make it real, and stop it with the plastic stuff. Texas cities are awesome for their very specific flavor. Those pieces that you've captured regarding local flavor are so pasteurized and prime-timed that they no longer feel real. (less)
