The Super Bowl will take place at Cowboys Stadium this coming year, which is awesome in itself, but this just makes it even cooler:
The 10th Annual Super Bowl Awards Banquet and Fashion Show benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will feature Dallas Designer Abi Ferrin, winner of Texas Top Designer in 2007. This is huge. Massive, in fact. She’s already all over In Style and US Weekly, but think about how many people 1) watch the Super Bowl (even if only for the commercials. Which is why I watch the Super Bowl. Forget about getting up from the game to make a sandwich during the Budweiser commercials – I do it when the game is in play. What could possible be interesting about the 2nd quarter? Okay back to the article.) 2) enjoy fashion and 3) are always on the hunt for new designers. Lucky girl.
“Really what we’re excited about is this opportunity to be featured at the Super Bowl this year. The players’ wives have chosen the Abi Ferrin brand to be the fashion show for the players’ wives luncheon, “Off the Field”, which will benefit St. Jude Hospital,” said the designer during the event at her South Side on Lamar studio.
