Fall is slowly creeping in and I’m loving it. I have so many light vintage jackets and fall is the perfect time to pair them with anything. I found this top, jacket, and shoes at estate sales and my husband loves to call this my Sgt Pepper look.
What are you excited about pulling out of your closet for the cooler temperatures?

-MORNING-
During a Texas fall morning you usually can get by with a light jacket and a scarf.
I’m wearing a jean jacket my dad just gave me that he’s worn since the 70′s and the briefcase he bought a week before he married my mom when he was in Hawaii for a military R&R.
-AFTERNOON-
By the time the sun has been up it gets pretty warm. Take off some of your layers and enjoy the perfect temperature for a lunch on a patio.
I’m wearing a gown I bought from Neiman’s with no reason except I liked it. I’m dressing it down with a women’s one-piece bathing suit underneath and a j.crew button-up tied on top.
-EVENING-
More then likely it will rain at some point in the day. So make sure you have a pair of wellies on hand and an umbrella in your car.
I’m wearing my favorite Marc Jacobs rain boots that I got from Barney’s and a huge Nike umbrella.

When I put this black formal dress on to take an outfit post, I knew I wanted to dress it down. I immediately thought of layering my leather jacket, but then had the idea to put a Darth Vader mask on with it. I threw on some flat boots to add some masculinity and went with it. (more…)

I’ve had this orange and black two piece fur collar outfit for awhile now. A co-worker of mine asked if I would include it with my vintage that I would sell and it never sold. It caught my eye the other day and tried it on and fell in love. I put my sheer Nanette Lepore lace top on underneath the jacket and stole Paul’s dirty hat to complete the outfit. (more…)

Being in Texas I feel like everyone has at least one pair of boots in their closet. These are my one pair from Cavender’s and I’ve had them for years now. I wear them with everything and for every occasion. They’re actually extremely comfortable now that they’re shaped to my foot.

You will always catch me rummaging through my husbands closet when I’m getting ready. This outfit is all thanks to him. I stole his Democracy of Nevermind jeans, Penguin tuxedo shirt and tie and paired it with my chain necklace, innocent vintage shoes I found at an estate sale, and briefcase found at a garage sale.

In Dallas there is always a black-tie affair to attend. It’s always a great idea to snag a gown whenever the opportunity arises. I found this gem at an estate sale for around $30 and have only worn it once to an Oscar watching party I had at my house last year. (more…)
