Trade In Your Ball Gown for Biker Chic at the Second Annual ‘Bad to the Bone’ Event

On Saturday, November 10, trade in the ball gown or tux you normally reserve for swanky occasions for leather jackets, designer jeans and skullcap rings at the second annual Bad to the Bone event benefitting Operation Kindness and the Texas Humane Legislative Network. Most animal lovers take the opportunity to show off their four-legged friend any chance they get. Celebrate your friend and all four-legged friends in need while donning your best attempt at biker chic at the beautiful home turned upscale ‘biker bar’ of Scott and Kelly Hershman, 14918 Lake Forest Drive in Dallas.

A $100 donation includes incredible food, great music, a one of a kind, mobile beer-tasting experience, compliments of Lakewood Brewery, a wine pull, a chance to hang out with Honorary Host Ron Corning, Anchor of WFAA 8 Daybreak, and a ‘gang’ of puppy mill and shelter rescues. Guests also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items like “Veterinarian for a Day” (perfect for your kids), a Texas Wine Country Package (perfect for you) and a Pagosa Springs, Colorado Retreat (perfect for the holidays).

Guests are also asked to submit a photo of their own four-legged friend to Shelby Bobosky ( for a chance to win a mystery prize. In keeping with the theme of the evening, pups (or kittens) should look something like this…

This baby (Abby) was rescued just 3 hours before she was to be put down
