Take your holiday pictures in the Design District

Avoid the awkward family photo this year and put it into the hands of a professional. Here are some of the many photographers and photography studios in the Design District that can prevent a little holiday stress — and a lot of future embarrassment.

The name says it all — at A Cool Studio, you can choose from a variety of backdrops and lighting for a professional-looking photo, or even use their photo booth to take silly candid photos of you and your loved ones. They also offer up their space for events and will take videos and “casual party pics” as well.

Marty Perlman is known for his event and PR photography, but can also do personal family photos as well, either in his studio or at the location of your choice.

Scott Keith does lifestyle, industrial and personal photography. Check out his recent work here.

Rachael Laine hails from New York and has shot for magazines such as Victoria’s Secret Catalog, TIME, Marie Claire and ESPN.

Lucky for us, world-traveling photographer Gustav Schmiege has his home base right here in the Design District.

Take advantage of Tim Boole’s move from California to Texas — you can check out his work here.
