Earlier this year we released our video on the Downtown Dallas Tunnels System, featuring Jack Gosnell’s narration regarding the past and present of the city’s underground heat-escape. Dallasites spend their work hours indoors and opt for the tunnels system as a means to go out for lunch, keeping their sweat glands in tact, leaving restaurant owners above ground to suffer from the lack of warm bodies roaming the streets. This week, Robert Wilonsky and the Dallas Morning News reported on the city’s future plans for the tunnels system and whether or not they will survive once the Downtown Dallas 360 plan is implemented. A decision has not yet been reached and could be a couple years away. For more information regarding the Downtown Tunnels, view the above video.
