Get your green thumb on. Plant a tree!

The temperature is warming and Spring is in the air. With your newfound green thumb, why not kick off the season of love by doing your part to help beautify Dallas?

This Saturday, March 26th at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm, Dallasites will gather to plant trees from 8 a.m. to noon at Richland College. As TXU Energy joins hands with Texas Trees Foundation, volunteers will flock from all over the DFW metroplex and the numbers are expected to be upwards of 600 people.

TUNNEL VISION

What YouPlusDallas asks in the video piece featuring Jack Gosnell and the Dallas underground tunnels is: “What makes a successful city?” And what role should the tunnels play, or perhaps not play?  It is my opinion that this “eccentric uncle in the basement” to which Mr. Gosnell refers should be welcomed as an addition to the city’s diversity, not hidden away and shuttered like cities often do with their ‘mistakes.’ (more…)
