Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger of Beat Connection, the Seattle-based, electro-pop quartet, had a pretty good 2011. After playing for sold-out rooms and receiving pretty stellar reviews while touring with STRFKR this past September, the group hit up SXSW. 2012 promises to be another great year for the band with the addition of Tom Eddy as lead vocalist, and drummer Jarred Katz. This summer also marks the release of their first full-length album, The Palace Garden with Moshi Moshi/ Tender Age, as well as their first North American headlining tour. Tomorrow, the band will be playing at LaGrange. We caught up with the quartet before they embark on a crazy summer.
How did you first come together as a band?
Well Jordan and I met as freshmen in college over a mutual appreciation for music and drinking. We started making music and djing house parties, and after a while we felt ready to get some songs together and put em out for people to hear. At that point we had no idea how to perform live so we had to figure that out too.
