So season one of HBO’s ‘Girls’ is officially a wrap, and I am still overwhelmed with emotions and questions. I’m always at a loss for how I’m supposed to feel when I’m watching this show; I’m laughing one minute than cringing and covering my eyes the next. But at the end of the day, I am really going to miss these girls. My roommate and I have started referring to them like we know them intimately, and we desperately wish we had our own personal Shoshanna to entertain us 24/7. So in order to work through my ever-changing emotions I think it is worthwhile to recap last night’s finale, for better or for worse.
So first off, Moody Marnie finally moves out. After last week’s fight, it’s not like I didn’t see it coming, but it broke my heart nonetheless. On the bright side, it looks like we’re going to be getting a lot more of Hannah’s ex-(gay)-boyfriend, Elijah (former Book of Mormon star), which I am thrilled about. He’s the only character I don’t have mixed emotions about; I straight up love that guy. So as long as Angsty Adam doesn’t get in the way of Elijah’s moving in, next season already has an awesome amount of potential.
