“It was hot, hot, hot when Tyler family band Eisley took the stage. The winds carried their ethereal tunes and melodic harmonies across the garden, piquing the interest of meandering festivalgoers,” said Pegasus News in their review of Eisley’s recent show at Homegrown Music & Art Festival. “Although lead singer Sherri Dupree-Bemis’ voice is light and airy, it was strong enough to overcome the festival sounds of enjoyment.”

Quick wits are not quick enough for the speedily keen minds of John Pedigo and Taylor Young. The bar at “Renfizzle’s,” as Pedigo so lovingly refers to Uptown’s Renfield’s Corner, is virtually empty. Most likely because it’s 8pm on a Wednesday, and still socially taboo to throw back cold one after cold one. The O’s are setting up their plethora of instruments as the YouPlusDallas crew tests our audio and prepares to interview the classy dudes.
The O’s have toured Europe, and will be heading overseas again this summer. So, what are they doing playing in a bar on a Wednesday night? “We’ve only been around for about two and a half years now, so when we first started playing, we played at Barley House every Wednesday for a while. And to me, this is taking us back to Barley House, which is scary, but a totally fun environment because it’s really small and everyone can cram in and have a good time,” says Pedigo. Which is exactly what happened; the bar proceeded to mold into a tightly packed sardine can as fans surrounded the stage. (more…)
