If you’re a fan of the Deep Ellum Zombie Walk, the DFW Zombie Run is right up your freaky alley. The 7K on Saturday December, 1 is one of the longest zombie runs in the world and probably the most fun.
Here what to expect:
You will be given a belt with four flags attached to it at the start of the race. The flags represent your health (or your brains). As you run, keep an eye out for the zombies that will try to eat your brain flag. The same zombie can only snag one of your flags so I guess you can become friends after that.
If you cross the flag with at least one flag, you’ll be eligible for up to $450. If you make it with no flags you will be ineligible and “dead” but you still get your time recorded and you still get to go to the after party with DJ Frosty. Proceeds will be donated to charities in DFW.
Register as an individual runner, a team or even as a zombie if you post your best zombie picture on their Facebook page or by registering as a zombie and submitting yourself to an undead makeover. Register at dfwzombierun.webconnex.com.
