When Mark Cuban and his fellow investors bought the Dallas Mavericks back in January, 2000, the team had a woeful winning percent of .400 and a playoff record of 21-32. In the first ten years under Cuban's leadership, the winning percentage shot up to .695 and the Mavs recorded 49 playoff wins. What's more, Cuban brought innovation and vivacious enthusiasm to his role as owner. Most importantly, he focused heavily on the "fan experience" and patiently served the needs of Mavs Nation.
In this video, the fans offer their thanks to the man who persevered through years of criticism and second-guessing, who got an MBA in the NBA right before our eyes, and ultimately made all the right moves to bring home a World Championship to Big D. The whiz kid from Pittsburgh is now officially adopted as a native son of Dallas. Mark Cuban, Thank You!
