Landon Development Company and John Landon are developing around 506 acres in Frisco just north of the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121) between Coit and Independence Roads for a new master-planned community of about 1600 residential home sites called Richwoods.
The property was purchased from H. Roger Lawler, who has owned the tract since the 1960s. Many have tried to approach Lawler and he had no interest in selling to anyone. The purchase price was undisclosed between the parties, but I am sure that it was a number with nothing less than 8 zeros on the end.
Richwoods represents the largest single tract of undeveloped land in Frisco. I have my own plans of building there because of the fantastic location and schools.
Ask any experienced real estate broker specializing in Collin County and they will all agree that Richwoods is a homerun.
Construction is underway for the property and the community is expected to contain home sites of varying sizes, along with a beautiful neighborhood amenity center. Landon Homes will be the featured builder along with another couple other possible builders with great reputations making for the most ideal community in the metroplex. The projected prices are from $300,000 to $700,000 with two different products.

Models should be up and ready to view in the beginning of 2012.
