Last year, the HP vs. Sherman game went down to literally the last second, with the Scots winning by the margin of a final missed FG. This year, the boys in Blue & Gold asserted themselves early and marched to a convincing 56-14 victory at Highlander Stadium. The team was full of heroes, especially on defense, where the front seven players stifled the potent Sherman offense. Gang tackling and quickness were hallmarks for the lineman and LBs.

Senior quarterback Brady Burgin was nothing short of awesome, completing more than 80 percent of his passes for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns. His key receivers were senior Dalton Stogner who broke out with 8 receptions for 122 yards and 3 TDs, and William Morris with 12 catches for 117 yards and 2 TDs. And what can you say about senior runningback Preston Miller? The only thing preventing him from breaking HP rushing record is carries! On just 16 carries, he had a whopping 200 yards and two touchdowns.
