On a day when most sane people were indoors, more than 5,000 members of Blue & Gold Nation turned out at SMU's Ford Stadium for the first HP Football game of the 2011season. It was the annual Tom Landry Classic, and keeping spirits high were new versions of the famed Highlander Band, the dazzling Highland Belles (under the leadership of new director Shannon Harty), the high-flying HP Varsity Cheerleaders, and of course, the fun-loving HP Scotsmen. These kids never stopped performing and their support helped HP to an impressive 48-28 win over Everman.
