Highland Park opened this area playoff game with five straight drives for
touchdowns and never looked back before a packed house at Highlander Stadium. On both sides of the ball, the Scots executed well and looked
extremely confident. The quarterback tandem of senior Jake Howeth and
junior Brady Burgin combined for a whopping 503 passing yards (and 4
TDs) to Hillcrest's 64 yards. Receiver William Morris had his biggest
game of the year with 8 catches for 193 yards and 2 TDs. Colin Stringer
also crossed the century mark with 3 catches for 115 yards. Dalton
Stogner had four grabs, two for touchdowns. Charlie Bernet, Ben McElroy
and Jackson Williams all had big receptions. The Scots had 143 yards
rushing, with Jackson Hauser leading the way (50 yards) and Jake Howeth
and Preston Miller getting TDs.
