The new Dallas Omni Hotel, in the heart of revitalized Downtown Dallas and connected to the Dallas Convention Center, opened to much fanfare on 11-11-11.  It was a grand celebration with ribbon-cutting honors done by ‘Dallas’ stars Larry Hagman and Linda Grey and attended by various Dallas dignitaries and WWII veterans in celebration of Veterans Day

Owned by the City of Dallas, the hotel features 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites, and the hotel is built to meet U.S. Green Building Council LEED Silver Certification standards, placing it on the forefront of environmental awareness and conservation in the city.

The Omni boasts 110,000 square feet of meeting space that is infused with the history and style of Dallas. Each of the 39 meeting rooms, including two ballrooms, are named after area points of interest in the city and feature the original artwork from local Texas artists.  Dining choices include Bob's Steak & Chop House, the innovative farm-to-market restaurant Texas Spice, the Owner's Box (a state-of the art interactive sports bar) and Omni's gourmet coffee shop, Morsels.  Located on premises is Collections, the hotel specialty shop that features one-of-a-kind local gifts, as well as full-service Mokara Spa, a rooftop terrace pool deck and a spacious fitness center with stunning views of downtown.
