Deep Ellum came alive for the 23rd Annual Dallas Observer Music Awards Showcase. Over 50 local bands filled Trees, La Grange, Club Dada and more venues for night of local talent. For nearly a quarter century, Dallas Observer has put a massive effort into supporting the best in local music. The showcase was a chance for local bands such as the Whiskey Folk Ramblers, Fox and the Bird, A.Dd+, The Naptime Shake and many more to show off during Dallas’s “mini SXSW.” Pete Freedman and Daniel Hopkins of the Dallas Observer recap the year in local music.

Featured Song: “Hotel Denalian” by Best Alt-Country/Roots Act Nominee Bravo, Max!

YouPlusDallas would like to thank Pete Freedman, Daniel Hopkins, DC9atNight, and our friends at the Dallas Observer.
