At the 2011 Dallas Observer Music Awards Ceremony, Denton natives Seryn and Sarah Jaffe took home the most awards of the evening. Seryn won Best Song for “We Will All Be Changed,” Best Male Vocalist Trenton Wheeler, Best Group, Best Album 'This Is Where We Are', and Best Instrumentalist Chris Semmelbeck. Sarah Jaffe won Best Solo Act, Best Folk Act, and Best Female Vocalist. Hosted by Donnie Nelson, General Manager of our 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. View performances by RTB2, A.Dd+, the Burning Hotels, the lovely Erykah Badu and The Cannabinoids, who acted as the house band, creating live remixes of all the performers throughout the night. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
