High energy. Excitement. Sex Appeal. Fan Favorites. These all describe the 20 talented young women who thrill the crowds at American Airlines Center every time the Dallas Mavericks take the floor. Team owner Mark Cuban often proclaims how important it is to "maximize the fan experience," and nothing amps up the basketball-crazy crowd like the electric hip hop routines of these award-winning performers.

As we see in this behind-the-scenes video, the Mavs Dancers are no ordinary squad; they must first emerge from a grueling try-out process over several weeks, then go through orientation and training, then learn all the right moves to dozens of dances. Unlike cheerleaders for other professional sports teams, the Mavs Dancers perform three new routines each night — at more than 40 home games each season! It's truly demanding, but the girls do it all with a smile. Off the court, these energetic women generously log hours and hours of community service throughout the DFW area.
