Packed with couture lovers and top models, The Grand Ballroom of The Fairmont Hotel felt like a catwalk in Milan. Staged by Heidi Dillon and her team from the Fashionistas and produced by Jan Strimple, this fashion event showcased the remarkable talents of Sergey Ermakov, a remarkable designer who recently made his United States debut. What makes Ermakov's intricate designs even more extraordinary is the fact that he has been blind since childhood.

Proceeds from the fashion show benefited the Fashionistas and American Foundation for the Blind.  Working from his shop in the Ukraine, Ermakov "sees" the designs in his head, then feels his way around a mannequin to create wondrous, world class couture dresses.

This beautiful event put Dallas on the map again as a groundbreaking, fashionable city.
