One more glamorous evening among the stars at the awards ceremony and final red carpet event for this year's 2011 Dallas International Film Festival. Tonight Hilary Kennedy and YouPlusDallas snag interviews with the likes of Peter Fonda and Larry Hagman. Writers, actors, producers, and directors lend their advice to aspiring filmmakers. Also, the DIFF receives high praise for being a "film festival where the films are held in higher regard than the industry itself."

This year's Dallas Star Award is presented courtesy of Neiman Marcus and designed by Steuben Crystal. Target sponsored the Film Maker Awards for the Narrative Feature and Documentary Feature Competition. Each winning film received a $25,000 cash prize from Target. What's more, the Dallas Film Society gave out over $100,000 to novice and student filmmakers aspiring to debut their films at the Dallas International Film Festival in years to come.

Other notable attendees at this year's awards are Burton Gilliam and Greg Ingram, and if you have not had a chance, visit our Arts & Entertainment page to see red carpet events and interviews with stars like Ann-Margret, Bethany Hamilton, Dennis Quaid, Jerry Jeff Walker, Morgan Spurlock and many more. Thanks again to the Dallas Film Society for this incredible event, and we look forward to next year's festival with excitement!
