These rankings are indicators that Allen, Texas is a cool place to live.  And if you don’t believe it, then take a look at this little snippet from a football game featuring the Allen Eagles and Flower Mound.

Overall, the public education system in Allen is very strong.  Allen ISD earned a Recognized Rating under the 2011 Texas Education Agency accountability rating system. Twelve individual Allen ISD campuses were rated Exemplary, which is the highest rating, and nine campuses were rated as Recognized, including Allen High School.

Sports is a big deal in Allen and football is the king of Allen High School sports.  Next year, Allen will move to a brand new $60 million football stadium seating 18,000.  Even with a high school that boasts close to 5,000 students, you don’t build a stadium that size without a lot of community support.
