You may not be aware of it, but you are familiar with artist Shepard Fairey. Remember the Obama Hope campaign? That was his work. The Los Angeles-based street artist paired up with Dallas Contemporary and visited our city earlier this month to bring his unique brand of art to various spaces all over the Big D

In this video, view interviews from Director of Dallas Contemporary, Peter Doroshenko, and Fairey himself, who tells us his ground rules for choosing his wall space in Dallas. Fairey describes his favorite mural, touches on the themes of peace and harmony in his work, and explains the effects of powerful imagery.
