FC Dallas play-by-play announcer Bobby Rhine, the former player and public face of the franchise, died September 5th of an apparent heart attack while vacationing with his family in Florida. He was 35. Rhine played his entire 10-year MLS career with FC Dallas before joining the club’s front office after the 2008 season, then becoming its play-by-play announcer on television and the host of a successful soccer radio show. This tribute video was shown at halftime of FC Dallas' September 17th match against the New York Red Bulls. It is a celebration of Rhine's career and special relationship with Dallas soccer fans.
