Foodies flock to this "guerrilla restaurant" concept for a good cause
Here's a truly novel concept: take an old, abandoned Mexican food joint in Oak Cliff and turn it into a gourmet restaurant where a different chef prepares an entirely different menu every night. What's more, the diners have no idea who is in the kitchen or what he's cooking. Oh, and all the profit goes to charity. That's the crazy, wonderful thinking behind "48 Nights", a gastronomic dreamchild of restaurateurs Chris Jeffers, Chris Zielke, and Tim Byres. The experiment was a huge success for North Texas Food Bank, the Salvation Army and other charities.
