Rolando Diaz Unveils First Mixed Media Sculpture Exhibition at South Side’s Janette Kennedy Gallery-Saturday, Dec. 7th

Dallas’ own internationally-acclaimed Cuban American artist, Rolando Diaz, presents his first mixed media sculpture exhibition entitled Melancholy Nostalgia on Saturday, December 7th, at South Side on Lamar’s Janette Kennedy Gallery.  The inspiration for the show dates back to Diaz’s melancholy past experiences with people, places, and feelings including sculpture based upon his Forbidden Fruit series of paintings.  Forbidden Fruit is Diaz’s interpretation of the Cuban Embargo that forbids him from visiting his beautiful and beloved homeland.

Exhibit Opening:  Dec. 7th

Artist Reception:  7 – 11 pm

Artist Discussion:  Begins at 9 pm

Exhibit Runs:  Dec. 7-29.  Gallery is open 10 am-6 pm, M-F.
