A symbol of perseverance and faith, Whitney Mitchell is truly a role model for her generation. In November of 2010, Whitney became gravely ill with sepsis from an infection and was put on life support. Both arms and legs had to be amputated in order to save her life. Instead of giving up, Whitney has shown incredible courage over the past couple of years and continues to be a symbol of strength.
The “For Whitney” Fashion Show and Fundraiser in Southside on Lamar honors and supports the inspirational young woman with a runway show, silent auction and raffle. The runway show features designers Abi Ferrin, Izavel, Shona, and Elizabeth Anyaa, with a live performance by The Maylee Thomas Band. Hors d’oeurves provided by Lombardi’s Catering, Luna de Noche, Eddie Deen Catering, and So Savvy Events with cocktails including Monticello Wines and Heineken. TV personality/host/model/actress, LeeAnne Locken, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
Presale general admission tickets are $50 and $75 for VIP. At the door, general admission is $65 and $90 for VIP. General admission includes access to all the above. VIP tickets include general admission plus VIP at the bar for the “For Whitney” event and 1 complimentary raffle ticket.
