The Pussybow Shirt Dress is Back!

Posted by    |    August 31st, 2011 at 7:06 am

Your Mom probably had one in the 1960′s, and now you can rock the same sweet and sexy style.  You can wear it with stacked heels, tall boots, wooden sandals, cuffed boots…there are a million ways to get mileage out of this one kitschy, cool dress. Plus, the galloping horse print is cute as a button! Can’t you just see wearing this at the Bar Belmont for drinks with friends, or for dinner at Rise No. 1?

At only $73, I’m thinking this is a no-brainer.

Urbandillo Hobo Shrinks Your Life

Posted by    |    August 30th, 2011 at 6:56 pm

I have a sickness.  It’s called “packing far more than I will ever need on this trip” and then cramming so much into my carry-on bag or checked baggage that the zippers are popping off and the seams are bursting.  Can you relate?  I mean, a girl has to account for every possible wardrobe change, every mishap.  So  you can imagine my excitement when I came across the new Urbandillo website with not only this adorable and functional Hobo bag, but an entire online store of goodies that will make packing (i.e. “life”) easier!

Here is a video of how it works: How To Shrink Your Urbandillo Bag

Pretty amazing stuff! According to the Urbandillo website, the idea came from designer Veronica realizing the need that she and her friends had for looking stylish, but they hated the hassles of carrying their layers when they weren’t needed with their busy, on the go lives . “She felt strongly that the market lacked stylish, on-the-go apparel that was functional, but focused on fashion first and so innocently began designing her own line. Veronica sketched designs, made prototypes, filed patents and created an innovative line of fashion that she named Urbandillo.”

I am already filling up my shopping cart with these inventive items.  With the Classic Hobo starting at just $69 ( it comes in black or a beautiful purple…Justin Bieber’s favorite color!), you can make a small investment in the future of lighter packing.

If I Lived There….

One of the things I love most about Candy Evans is her ability to suss out the coolest properties in the city and present it with titles like “Friday Morning House Porn: Stacked, Stoked, and Staring At The Water“.  If THAT won’t get your attention, then I don’t know what will.

Anyhoo, here is her latest find that has me dreaming of what life would be like if I lived there…

I can assure you I’d be wearing this(more…)

Marchesa Fall 2011-Dream On

Posted by    |    August 17th, 2011 at 7:06 pm

Marchesa is a celebrity favorite, and the collections are truly the stuff couture dreams are made of.  Never one to disappoint, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig join forces to create every glam detail.  Lace is a predominant theme, along with sheer fabrics and intricate beading to exude femininity.  I’d like to think it’s a combination of Morticia Addams and Miss Texas (but in the most smashing way possible).  Feast your eyes on the Fall 2011 collection, as well as the pin-thin high heels the models are wearing-oh my!

Pret-A-Surf Gets You Noticed

Posted by    |    August 16th, 2011 at 6:30 pm

Rihanna. Marion Cotillard. Sienna Miller. Blake Lively.  Besides being famous, what do all these ladies have in common?  They are Pret-a-Surf beach bunnies.  According to their chic website, The Pret-a-Surf line was founded by Jillian Demling (Entertainment Editor at Vogue) and Karen Mulligan (Studio Manager for the photographer, Annie Leibovitz). Their goal was to create a “surf line for the woman who is active and wants to look good while playing and competing. Ready to surf and ready to wear. The Pret-a-Surf woman is one who wears a couture ball gown at night and a sensuous bikini by day.”

With a production team in New York City, Pret-a-Surf launched its debut line in May 2010. Up next for the line is a laundry list of lovelies: scented surfboard wax, made-to-order surfboards, Pret-a-Sport for tennis, Pret-a-Snow for skiing and snowboarding, and Pret-a-Storage for those cute bags to hold it all.  Since the founders of Pret-a-Surf are visual lasses, it should come as no surprise they have a charming new video to showcase just how cute their resort collection is. Enjoy The Next Time!
