Texas Longhorn fans will have to wait one more year before being serious contenders for the national championship. So for now, Texas football fans will have to satisfy themselves with the memories of past accomplishments.
The video below is well edited but its prediction of an 8-4 regular season record contains flawed logic. The Big 12 isn’t as strong as last year. Baylor cannot replace a Heisman winner although Art Briles has proven to be a better coach than Mack Brown. TCU is in rebuilding mode. The major challenges will come from OU and West Virginia. We think 9-3 or 10-2 is much more realistic than 8-4 because the Texas defense will keep them in games and barring injuries, the Texas offense will look like an SEC offense and score just enough to win most games.
SB Nation does a good job creating a video similar to the pablum normally reserved for ESPN.
