Lower Greenville is coming back in a big way. There’s a new Londoner, Green Grocer will open this Saturday, and Mudsmith, a new coffee shop by Barcadia’s Brooke Humphries, will open its doors on Monday, January 28 across the street from the future Trader Joe’s.
The baristas at Mudsmith will carefully make each cup with a specific technique, San Francisco-based Four Barrel beans and the fanciest of coffee gizmos, including the Chemex, V-60, along with two custom-made Stradas by La Marzocco for specialty espresso drinks. Mudsmith will also feature a rotating selection of eight craft beers and four wines on tap, Roots Juices, fresh baked pastries, and sandwiches like the Jalapeno Meatloaf with Redneck Cheddar and Guava BBQ Sauce. Everything will be made in-house with local, organic ingredients.
Humphries explains, “I wanted to create a coffee shop experience reminiscent of New York, Portland or San Francisco that combines the underground elements of local craft beer with craft coffee in an environment that’s hip yet rustic and modern.”
The rustic and modern interior was created using steelwork by Steve Mabry of Rusty Buffalo and an interior design by Ryan Chaney of Chaney 44.
Mudsmith is located at 2114 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75206. Website: www.mudsmithdallas.com Phone: 214.370.9535
