SMU Alums Josh Sepkowitz and Kyle Noon have had a busy year. The Freerange Concepts founders who most recently gave Dallas its first boutique bowling experience with Bowl & Barrel on Park Lane are now set to open a revamped Sunset Lounge on Wednesday, January 23. You may remember the Sunset Lounge when it was the impossible to find late-night club, donning nothing more than a neon orange sign to beckon partygoers. What you’ll find this coming Wednesday on 3030 Ross Avenue will look a little different.

The new Sunset Lounge is a neighborhood bar with a 1960s Southern California vibe and a full bar serving handcrafted cocktails, local, beers, artisanal wines and a late-night kitchen offering a light, fresh bar menu.

Sepkowitz explains, “Great cocktails, fresh food and the bohemian décor all work hand-in-hand to create Sunset’s effortlessly cool and laid-back vibe.  I see Sunset Lounge being your home away from home.”

Eddie “Lucky” Campbell

Another notable addition is that of Eddie “Lucky” Campbell, fresh off his most recent career change from The Chesterfield.

Noonan explains, “ We are excited to have ‘Lucky’ be a part of the team here at Sunset.  He is at the top of his craft and his energy and passion are infectious to everyone around him.  We feel he is the perfect person to run our cocktail/bar program.”

The Sunset Lounge will officially open with a Grand Opening party on Wednesday, January 23rd from 6-10pm, offering $3 anything (food or drink).
