So I just heard about a new restaurant opening in Snider Plaza this Wednesday, September 12, and I cannot wait to eat there. Seriously, it sounds amazing. These are the 3 main reasons East Hampton Sandwich Co. sounds so incredible.
1. It’s different
Yes it’s a sandwich place. But it’s not like other Dallas sandwich places. It’s more like something you’d find in NYC; a little elevated but comfortable. The sandwiches are handcrafted with sauces, salad dressings, soups, sides, and desserts made in-house. The two items I want to try most: the Lobster Roll and the Goat Cheese & Avocado. I mean right?
2. They serve wine and beer
There aren’t a lot of sandwich places that serve wine and beer. But this one does, ensuring that I will choose this sandwich places over all others. Every time. I love me some vino with my Lobster Roll.
3. It’s lovely
Owner Hunter Pond hired Alex Urrunaga, of famed restaurant design firm Plan B Group, to design the interior. In accordance with its name, Urrunaga explains that, “The design of the restaurant was based on a traditional beach home. Most of the living is done in the kitchen when people entertain, so when you walk into East Hampton, it’s a clean space that resembles a large residential kitchen. You feel like you are sitting in your friend or neighbors welcoming home.” It’s a quick, casual but beautiful place.
