Rock and Roll Tacos — Deep Ellum

I adore Tacos. I have tried tacos in Thailand, NYC, LA, Dallas, Austin, North Dakota (not the best) and numerous other cities. One of the aspects of the taco place is its culture and the vibe of the joint. In the heart of Deep Ellum, Rock and Roll Tacos serves up some incredible tacos with an atmosphere in the Rock and Roll spirit of Deep Ellum. With a wide range of tacos and other tasty dishes, there is something for everyone.

I was instantly drawn in by the vinyl on the walls of old musicians. The restaurant is adorned with art from local Deep Ellum artists, adding a pleasant Austin feel. In addition, there is a wonderful Salsa bar served in back of a converted pick up truck.

Described as an unofficial partnership with music venue La Grange, both share a bar and have direct access to one another. The back patio is a great place to hang (maybe when it cools down) with tons of space for parties. At night when concerts are in full force, they serve much needed tacos to hungry concert-goers.

Be sure to check out the menu – I tried the Barbacoa and the Tijuana tacos…delicious. They are not too big so I would recommend at least two or three.
