The City of Coppell did not always have a Main Street.
But now, the community of nearly 40,000 residents has a Main Street sign at one end of South Coppell Road near Bethel Road, signaling that change is on the horizon.
The once-sleepy town, known for its large home lots and high-end houses, is creating a $35 million city center that officials hope will bring high-density housing, restaurants, retail and office development.
