Townhomes in Plano Texas might not be what you think

As a multiple home owner in the past, I have been very biased on purchasing a home over a townhome. Until yesterday.

I visited a Plano townhome community that definitely opened my eyes. Located near Park and the Tollroad, I had seen the signs many times driving by close to Prestonwood church. My thought was to give the community a chance and see if there were any opportunities for an investor to possibly contract on a model lease back from the builder. (more…)

Dyer to corporations: “let’s do some bidness”

Ever on the lookout for new sources of revenue, Plano mayor Phil Dyer spoke to a group of commercial real estate execs recently to let them know that Plano still has plenty of room for corporate development. Dyer noted that while the city’s residential areas are built out, “only 70-75 percent of the land zoned for commercial property is developed.” Dyer is a natural to sell the city’s benefits for business. He is president and director of the $1.5 billion LegacyTexas Bank, which is based in Plano, and a former Plano Citizen of the Year.
