Me too.  This year, instead of fighting mobs of shoppers in crowded malls, and I’ll be strolling the historic streets of Oak Cliff’s Bishop Arts District sipping apple cider for Jingle Bells on Bishop…and I suggest you do the same.  Today from 11am till 10pm you can see Santa, build a gingerbread house, buy gifts, get gifts wrapped, hear live music, sing a carol and more:

Eno’s Pizza Tavern

Go to Eno’s Pizza Tavern for an incredible atmosphere & delicious pizza.

The first time I went I felt like I had stepped into a pizza tavern in New York; it has such a great sidewalk cafe vibe. They go the extra mile in supporting the community by using fresh, local ingredients and a huge variety of drinks for the beverage connoisseurs in the area. They have recently added an upstairs which is great for families with kids. Game area with darts and fuse-ball table will keep the kiddos busy while you enjoy an evening out.

This restaurant is truly a gem for Oak Cliff. Twinkle lights, live music on certain nights, fresh pizza, drinks, appetizers… perfection. Check out Eno’s video from YouPlusDallas.

Cozy Cottage - On the corner of Bishop Ave. & W. 8th St.

As a first time pregnant mother-to-be or as a busy mother of three, the huge market of baby items can be a bit overwhelming.

You need to visit the Cozy Cottage, a children’s boutique in the heart of the Bishop Arts District. It is a darling, quaint house that sits on the corner and they happen to be in the hub of fine dining and other unique shopping destinations. They specialize in unique baby and children’s items, including boys and girls apparel, shoes, toys, hairbows, kids’ backpacks, purses and other accessories, tutus, wall décor, special occasion products, baby gifts, diaper bags, newborn layettes and more! As a mom of a 15 month old with another on the way, I am looking for style and convenience…not to mention they have a fabulous baby registry!
