Editor’s Note: To erase the misconception that the showrooms and galleries of the neighborhood are open only to the trade, DallasDesignDistrict.com is launching Unveiled. In this weekly series we take you inside the shops, showrooms and galleries of the Design District that are not only open but welcome the public.
While Melissa Enriquez may be an interior designer by trade, there’s no denying the woman has some seriously good taste in art.
Since opening Gallerie Noir on Dragon Street late last year, Enriquez has hosted several unique art shows that have garnered the Dallas newcomer some great press and a welcome reception from the Dallas interior design and art community.
It’s hard to pin down Enriquez’s aesthetic in just a few words. She and her gallery manager Carrie White call the style “historical modern” but that’s really an inadequate description.
