Indulging for a Good Cause

image002Just in time for Mother’s Day, Caroline Wright, author of Twenty-Dollar, Twenty-Minute Meals (who’s credentials include being a trained cook and influential food writer, as well as studying in Paris and working as a food editor for Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food magazine) presents a bake sale at CityCraft: Modern Fabric to benefit Café Momentum (check it out, here) this Saturday, May 10 from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Dallas-based restaurant and training facility provides an opportunity for the community’s most at-risk youth to receive intensive culinary, job, and life-skill training, as well as mentoring and support. Not that we need an excuse to treat ourselves to something sweet, but there’s nothing like indulging for a good cause. Whether you’re scrambling to get a gift, starting the festivities early, or just find yourself with a sweet tooth, stop by CityCraft: Modern Fabric and satisfy your craving for some sweet confections all while supporting a worthy cause. Plus, now you have a reason to eat that second piece of cake.
