Last Friday kicked off the official first day of fall, and, I don’t know about you, but I spend the weekend breaking out my fall decorating boxes and adorning my apartment autumn decor! Knowing my affinity for seasonal decorating and obsession with tablescaping, Mrs. Duck over at Dahlgren Duck sent over pictures of these beautiful glass pumpkins that are now available in the showroom.
Originally designed by artists Michael Cohn and Molly Stone at Cohn and Stone to fill out their garden one year when their vines had produced no pumpkins, these gorgeous hand-blown gords range from a mini 4 inches to a giant 14 inches in diameter.
“We took the glass pumpkins outside and tucked them into the leaves where the translucencies of nature and glass combined — the garden was enchanted!” Michael explained. They have been creating glass pumpkins ever since, exaggerating nature’s colors and forms to create unique works of art.
Doesn’t this garden look just magical? Like at any moment you could say “bippity boppity boo,” and up would pop a pumpkin-shaped carriage a-la Cinderella?!
For those of us without the luxury of having a garden to ourselves, these pretty pumpkins would also look remarkable grouped on the table as a Thanksgiving centerpiece. And also, they’d make great hostess gifts for fall functions!
Available at Dahlgren Duck in Decorative Center Dallas, the pumpkins average retail $187 to $1500.
