Fabric Friday: Global Prints for the World Traveler

Posted by    |    July 31st, 2011 at 5:50 am

Today’s Fabric Friday finds come from Pindler & Pindler’s Signature Exclusive Montage Collection. The eclectic yet sophisticated patterns that comprise this line drew me in immediately and I found it hard to pick a favorite from the 7 playfully chic color palettes that are offered.

Even so, I can’t help but clamor to the prints in orchid, especially Simpatico (pictured, bottom right & top middle), a contemporary damask design that features large-scale stylized Suzani medallions.

Designer Showcase: Fresh & Young Dining Room by Melissa Woody

Posted by    |    July 23rd, 2011 at 5:50 am

Today’s Designer Showcase comes from interiors and antiques aficionado Melissa Woody. Melissa designed this fun yet elegant dining room for a young couple with two kids, centering the room with a clear glass chandelier that the couple found on a trip to London.

Melissa is no stranger to incorporating antiques and found objects into her designs and even sells her hand selected antique treasures at three metroplex shops, including The Mews in the Dallas Design District.

The rest of the room is adorned with Design District furnishings, including beautifully upholstered Holly Hunt dining chairs and a Venetian Glass mirror that I’m beyond obsessed with!
