Last night, the residents of Alta 1900 Lofts gathered at The Meddlesome Moth for beer, food and a bit of neighborly fun! Guests ate, drank and chatted, spending a little time getting to know their neighbors at their monthly happy hour gathering.

The 1900 Lofts staff, Jennifer, Kelly and Nate, joined the crew for happy hour.

Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. Or so claims the Breckenridge Brewing Company website!

This week’s rare brew at The Meddlesome Moth, 471, is a small batch, limited edition double IPA. This ale combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops.

Captain Keith warns that this popular ale won’t last the night so show up at 5 pm sharp to make sure you get a taste!

The Avery Experience might not be till next Monday but tonight you can get an early taste when The Meddlesome Moth taps a cask of Samael’s from Avery Brewing Co.’s Demon Series.

This English-style strong ale has a super rich caramel flavor and has been aged on oak which gives it a vanilla flavor. Samael’s is much sweeter and less hoppy than most of Avery’s other beers but it still packs a punch, coming in at 14% ABV.

Also on tap tonight is Dogfish Head Brewing Co.’s Burton Baton, which is part IPA and part old ale. It also has been aged on oak for a few months, giving it a vanilla flavor. The Moth feature this brew a few months back and it was so popular it only lasted for an hour so get there at 5 pm sharp to make sure you get a taste!

While you’re there, don’t forget to pick up tickets for “The Avery Experience” beer dinner which will take place on Monday, June 13.
