By now, you’ve surely gotten the dish on what’s going on over at 1400 Hi Line. PM Realty’s 23 story high rise has broken ground and is well under construction. Those interested in checking out the progress can check out their construction camera, which snaps photos every few minutes. And for those not interested in the construction, it’s a great way to check out the weather in the Design District!

Tonight’s rare brew at The Meddlesome Moth is especially rare. In fact, there are only ten kegs of its kind in Texas! Brought to you by Real Ale Brewing Co. from Blanco, Texas, Vol.XIV is a golden Belgium ale that has been barrel-aged.
If you’re thinking you’ve seen this before, you’re right. In August, The Moth shared the original version of Real Ale’s 14th Anniversary Ale. This time the beer has been re-released as part of the Mysterium Verum series, an assortment of ales that are all “experimental.” This version of the ale has been aged for six months in an American oak barrel.
Even the illustrious Captain Keith hasn’t had the chance to taste this brew yet, so come in at 5 pm and be one of the first!

Last night while watching The Bachelor I squealed with joy over a tweet from City Street Grill announcing that they would be serving in front of Leslie Taylor Home today. You see, gourmet food trucks are all the craze in Dallas right now and I’ve been dying for one to set up shop in the Dallas Design District. (more…)

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is known for their hops so it’s only appropriate that they named tonight’s rare brew Hoptimum. A big, bold IPA, this ale has been “aggressively hopped, dry-hopped, and torpedoed with exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas.” Coming in at 10.4% ABV, Captain Keith suggests that you’ll be able to taste grapefruit rinds, pine, citrus and a bit of tropical fruit.
