Roberto Cavalli is one of today’s most admired kings of fashion. From his swanky dresses, sassy heels and signature wild prints, you’d never know the age of this always-modern collection. But get this, Cavalli is celebrating its 40th (gasp!) anniversary, and the party is coming to Dallas.
In honor of the fashion legend that hails from Italy, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is hosting Cavalli Rocks!, a fundraiser that supports the Dallas Symphony Young Strings, a multicultural ensemble of young, exceptional musicians.
The event will feature sips straight out of Napa from Red Mare Wine, tasty bites, and performances by the Symphony’s Young Strings, and blues-y Paul Renna. Fashion, booze and blues… what more could you ask for?
A killer auction you say? Check that off your list too. Auction items include the Dragon Bay Experience from the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, and a stunning python bag, designed by Cavalli, duh!
And of course, no high fashion event would be complete without a sample of the designer’s duds. Some of Cavalli’s latest and greatest pieces will be showcased on models throughout the evening, including a kick-ass dress worn by Beyoncé.
It’s surely a glitzy event, but considering the occasion, prices aren’t so bad. Tickets start at $125 and prices for the posh Patron Level top off at $200. For one of the city’s top fashion events, that ain’t too shabby!
Cavalli Rocks! will be held this Thursday, at Land Co-7Senses in the Design District, from 7-10:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online through the Dallas Symphony League. They’ll be available through the day of the event, but you might as well purchase them now so you can start planning your outfit!
See you there, my stylish friends!
