Shakespeare Dallas presents Cyrano de Bergerac

Relax.  I’m referring to Cyrano de Bergerac’s nose, not yours.  You can check it out but you better hurry –  this Friday’s your last day! Shakespeare Dallas brings you Edmond Rostand’s classic tale of unrequited love, mistaken identity, poetic comedy and affliction of the…umm, rather…large variety. Join Cyrano, his nose and Shakespeare Dallas this Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evening at Samuel-Grand Ampitheater. Showtimes begin at 8:15 PM and tickets are available online. We think you’ll agree – this hopeless romantic’s wit and humor are Texas-sized.  Along with his schnazz.

Cool it down.

It’s a shame you missed the party yesterday.  But considering it was a pity party, you might be glad you did.  My “I’m over summer” pity party started as I got in my car yesterday afternoon.  The temperature gauge on my dashboard said 110. For added emphasis, please indulge me and let me spell that out for you…one hundred and TEN degrees.  Thank you.  My make-up was well on it’s way to being completely melted off of my flushed face.  My seat sizzled as it almost set my jeans on fire.  I winced as I touched the scalding hot steering wheel, knowing that the lovely feeling of cold air blasting out my AC was still several long minutes away.
