On September 22, visitors to Mercantile Coffee House will have an exclusive opportunity to view and interact with contemporary paintings in a non-traditional atmosphere. Mercantile Coffee House has teamed up with the McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) as a part of their community outreach program. The partnership fosters up-and-coming talent with monthly exhibitions in an effort to cultivate contemporary artistic vision in downtown Dallas.
The upcoming exhibition is For Lorn and Stature by Pamela Henderson. Born and raised on a ranch in Dallas, Henderson has held a prominent presence in the art world with exhibits at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles and numerous galleries around California, New York and Texas. Inspired by nature, anthropology, philosophy and linguistics, Henderson’s paintings represent various dichotomies focusing largely on beauty and evil. Her pieces are colorful, bright, strange and powerful.
Exhibits will run at Mercantile Coffee House throughout the year, featuring a variety of artists and media designed to promote a visual dialogue between artist and viewer.
