All Good Cafe 10th Anniversary Block Party!

Posted by    |    August 24th, 2010 at 3:03 pm

If you’ve ever been to the All Good Cafe, I’m willing to bet that you call it one of your fave spots in Dallas.  With a motto like “Make Love Not Money” and It’s Like Goin’ To Austin Without Having to Pass Thru Waco” printed on the menu, how can you not?  I used to frequent this cozy spot on a weekly basis (a little less now that I live up north), and I can honestly say that everything on the menu is delicious.  The chicken fried steak is award winning, the king ranch chicken is killer, and the Lone Star is always ice cold.  And to top it off, owner Mike Snider makes every effort to support local purveyors such as the Dallas Farmers Market, Rudolph’s Meat Market and the Dallas Mozzarella Company.  The decor is as eclectic and laid back as the staff and patrons who frequent it…and there is an indoor stage for live music on the weekends.

Its hard to believe our friends have been serving up good food and good times for a decade now, and to celebrate they are throwing a block party this Saturday.  And this ain’t your typical block party…there will be live music from Boys Named Sue, New Bohemians, The O’s, The King Bucks and more, plus a “Taste of the Hood” with food vendors All Good Cafe (duh), Monica’s, Dallas Mozzarella Co, LaGrange, Baker’s Ribs and Rudolph’sOH…and there’s no cover charge. Deep Ellum Outdoor Market!

Posted by    |    August 13th, 2010 at 3:40 pm

I’m so excited about this months Deep Ellum Outdoor Market!  Reasons: 1.  I was out of the country and missed last months, which had over 800 visitors!  2.  I’m a vendor this month with my women’s vintage clothing!  (I usually sell out of Dolly Python, but wanted to be apart of this.)  and 3.  38 booths of everything under the sun, live bands, food, drinks!

I’ve been working with Brandon Castillo, Director of the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market, in getting a booth.  He’s been so helpful and the process couldn’t be easier.  If you’re interested in getting a booth for September, act quick!  Booths fill up fast!  Go to their site for more info, here.

Don’t miss out on all the great spots in walking distance to cool off afterwards!  Might I suggest La Grange and picking up an ice cold “adult” snow cone! Hope to see you there and come say hi!  I’ll have a big fan waiting for you to cool you down!
