If you’ve ever been to the All Good Cafe, I’m willing to bet that you call it one of your fave spots in Dallas. With a motto like “Make Love Not Money” and “It’s Like Goin’ To Austin Without Having to Pass Thru Waco” printed on the menu, how can you not? I used to frequent this cozy spot on a weekly basis (a little less now that I live up north), and I can honestly say that everything on the menu is delicious. The chicken fried steak is award winning, the king ranch chicken is killer, and the Lone Star is always ice cold. And to top it off, owner Mike Snider makes every effort to support local purveyors such as the Dallas Farmers Market, Rudolph’s Meat Market and the Dallas Mozzarella Company. The decor is as eclectic and laid back as the staff and patrons who frequent it…and there is an indoor stage for live music on the weekends.
Its hard to believe our friends have been serving up good food and good times for a decade now, and to celebrate they are throwing a block party this Saturday. And this ain’t your typical block party…there will be live music from Boys Named Sue, New Bohemians, The O’s, The King Bucks and more, plus a “Taste of the Hood” with food vendors All Good Cafe (duh), Monica’s, Dallas Mozzarella Co, LaGrange, Baker’s Ribs and Rudolph’s. OH…and there’s no cover charge. (more…)
